 First challenge since my son Michael was born on February 21st. When I saw this challenge this type of image was the first thing that came to mind, focusing on winter's impact on the farmer's way of life. Looked at corn fields, apple orchards, wine vineyards and cherry trees. Enjoyed this image most of all has it demonstrated the challenge in several ways. Thanks for your comments and best of luck. Really looking forward to seeing all the creative shots with this challenge.

nice color balance. i liked it better at first glance and then I started to not like it as much. it is shaky or something in the power lines. good effort

Lots of good things here - though the mixture of lines in the pylons (probably just your POV) creates an odd near-focus effect that bugs me. Love the light, the strong sense of season, and would perhaps have preferred a moe orthodox composition - rather than sticking those verticals so far out of frame. It still works, overall.

Sometimes your glad powerlines get in the way :) I get a great sense of depth in this shot.

I would have liked to see just the fields. I think it would have been sufficent for the challend and be a stronger piece.

Very interesting use of contrasting lines. I like the pink hue, but it may not fair well with the masses. I think this is very nicely done.

not sure if this is a mishap in light exposure, or an infrared shot...Compositionally, not bad, but the colorization is a bit distracting. -5

I love the concept. It's nicely exposed. It's a quibble, but the sepia treatment seems too pinkish or reddish for my tastes.
