Just a road...the photo didn't come out as nice as it looked in person, so I desaturated a few things, brought some attention to the road lines. It was originally going to be the trees.

The perspective on this shot is amazing. The distance you got out of the lines is incredible. I have tried similar shots and never seem to be able to get the long look. The processing really lets the lines stand out while at the same time not looking processed at all. Focus is good, composition/crop is perfect. Well done!

I think your choice of leaving color just in the lines is really effective. I like this photo a lot.

Very nicely done. The color/desat works well. The OOF in the foreground just helps pull you into the pic, leads your eye. I thought of doing road lines, not this good a thought though, and figured it'd be too cliche'd. A well done cliche is not a cliche!

Great finish. I had an Idea about doing something like this, then changed my mind last sec. I guess you could of ribboned if your focus was better. Maybe you should of went with a wider aperture. Your DOF is good here but the detail is blurred on the bottom of the photo. Great job though, and a well deserved placing.

Stunning use of an idea I think many of us had. Only you incorporate elements that raise this photo to an exceptional level. DeSat is classically done. But the problem with these types of shots is usually the surroundings, but you use the surroundings to your advantage. good job.

Good idea, but I am one of those people who just doesn't care for the selective desaturation. - 6

I love the simplicity of this. POV, DOF, focus, colors all work well. Bumping up to 9 on second pass.

Great shot... it seems all desat except the yellow lines which makes it much more interesting.

The selective desaturation really works nice here. The slight up hill grade adds to the length of the lines nice photo

Nicely done desat while maintaining good contrast. I think if you used a smaller aperture you could have kept the foreground in focus, as well. Might have looked better that way since the lines are so close to the viewer.

Nicely done. The vanishing point composition and selective desaturation works very well. The rest of the image isn't extremely interesting, and the trees/skies would be better with more contrast and perhaps spot work.

Then again, the challenge is "Lines", and you've captured the lines and made them a central part of the image. So it might just be the right thing :)

I seldom appreciate selective desaturation as it's so often done for the sake of using the technique and the item left in colour is not the main point of focus/ subject. Here it works superbly to concentrate the attention on the lines as well as their lovely rich colour. Works really well for me. Nice low viewpoint.

I like this picture a lot. I gave it the highest score and want it in my favorites. The converging lines are dynamic, bold and with the desatutation this picture makes a huge "line" statement. congratulations!
