I hung the clock on a wall in my dorm room using a cut ethernet cord from a laptop. I used by dark, dark blue curtain as a backdrop. I tied a cut coaxial cord around the neck of a 5ft tall floorlamp (40watt bulb) from the ceiling in order to keep it stationary while leaning and pointing at the clock (I needed as many free hands as possible for the one-man job). I wrote the word "irrelevant" on a piece of computer paper backwards so as to see it and be able to read it in a mirror when placed in front of a mirror. I tore the edges by hand for aesthetics. I held the paper at a 45 degree angle from the clock next to the rim of the clock. I then took the picture at a 40-35 degree angle from the wall aiming for the "irrelevant" in the face of the clock. I took several to find the right angle and position to avoid a flashspot on the clock. I took the picture to photoshop where, after tinkering with the brightness and applying one of the only legal filters (gaussian blur), it went from being just DSC00890 to being a picture I am satisfied to submit for my first entry on DPChallenge.

Where is the word "irrellevant" coming from? If this was a reflection, it would have been backwards?

Very cool... Love the yellow and black contrast of this. Maybe should have straightened the clock so the 9 and 3 are more verticle but no big deal here. 8.

I am probably a little dense, but it's going to take me a few minutes to figure out what this means. But it's a nice photo

Interesting. The contrasting colors are wonderful. The black stuff that appears to be broken up inside the clock is a bit distracting. The "irrellevant" also appears to be running out of space at the end - not balanced on the face of the clock. .

Kinda scary!

IMO, this would be a much stronger image without the 'irrelevant' reflection in the glass, but I do understand your theme here... - setzler

Ouch! As I'm sure dozens of people are rushing to say, it's 'IRRELEVANT'! Apart from that, a nice pic but I'm not sure what it has to do with the title. 7.

Great idea, but even you had to be on time with submitting the photograph (joke). A good photograph. I like the colours and lighting and focus. Nice shot.

I dunno if I'm the first, but there's sure to be many.. You spelled irrelevant wrong!
Great concept, but for the misspelling and the bad reflections in the clock I can only give a 4.
