Thanks Brad, I finally figured out that photos I submit look darker with more contrast when viewed on the web even though I edited them in PS using sRGB. I've since been doing all my editing in Adobe RGB and then when I upload the contrast looks about right. Have you found any difference between your photos in PS and on the web?

Thanks Kylie, where's your shot? Don't tell me you haven't taken any photos lately! :-)

And thank you, everyone, for your comments. I wasn't expecting to do this well. I was going to go to Yosemite for the weekend, but friends convinced me to go to the coast with them. And then when I got home, I only had a few minutes to edit the photo and submit it. My plan is to keep submitting to every challenge as long as I can take a photo that is at least remotely related to the challenge topic.

This is a very interesting image. The time of say is just not the best since it leaves a great deal of the image struggling in the 1st zone. By looking at the sky one wonders how such 10th zone tones appear so generous in the water. The composition is good. 6

Nice setting and good range. Maybe a little to much dodging of the shadows on the rocks.

Beautiful place! I wish I could see a little more detail in the trees on the right. Very nice shot!

You did almost everythig right here. But unfortunatly only almost. Good foreground, great main feature the bridge and a fantastic sky. Composition ==> first price. However in my oppinion you wasted a golden oppertunity to make a whow photo here. I think your hand was to heavy on the contrast button. The white on the water is competing to be the main feature, but clearly it is not. The trees at the right are to dark almost getting lost and the rocks in the water are just a dark spots. Go back there and re-shoot and think of the finished picture when pressing the trigger. You will see a difference.

Great contrast, great view, great composition. If anything, I feel that the right-hand side may be a little too dark.

Dramatic contrasts in a nice, deep composition. Superb! This should do very well.

Good location and nice strong contrast. The blacks seem just a little too big and blotchy to me.

Great tonal range. Like the surf about the large boulders Nice composure with the bridge that connecs the light and dark tones. Good luck with this AA representation.

Excellent work, you've met the challenge well, this does look like an Adam's photo. Tonal range and depth are there. Congratulations.

Great tones here. The composition isn't ticking... I'm not sure what it is.... there seem to be too many elements fighting to be the focal point. But a good image in his style 8.

A little too contrasty, it cries out for more detailin the major dark areas, especially where the bridge footing are lost in the shadows. Nicely composed, except that the rocks on the lft are so flatly-lit and detailed that they are distracting.
