| to me this is more of a black and white than a light color on white background as the challenge suggested. |

| White bark can be very drammatic, so this was a choice of subject with much aesthetic potential. Unfortunately the twigs and leaves in this shot are distracting. Nor do the shapes of these trunks really draw us in - especially since they fail to set up strong leading lines, but rather serve to chop up the negative space. |

| Colors are intersting, shapes seem sort of random. Where is the focal point here? Are there leading lines that point towards it? |

| I have two problems with this picture....What was being focused on, and the bacround looks grey not white. |
