Hello from the Critique Club!
First impressions: As you can see from the first thing I said in my original comment.. it was eww, I hope the rest of the stuff in your kitchen isn't like this! I love the great dramatic lighting.
I think this is a very great mood shot. The real winner is the lighting, and the total blackness in the background. As somebody in the comments said, the focus is a bit off on the top of the object. I think if you'd changed the aperture toward the range of 5 or 6, that maybe it would have all been in focus. I've just looked at the rest of your photos, and I absolutely love them, and I'm certain that you knew exactly what you were doing anyway!
What else can I say? There's not much. You've captured the mood of that you wanted. You got an excellent score too :) Congrats on a great photo.

Your kitchen doesn't half look dirty!
Great lighting on this. I would love to know how you got the rainbow effect in the background.
The subject is well placed and interesting to look at but the edges seem a little soft in places.

| A work of art. You found the most amazing object and then your decision to photograph it on a dirt surface is genius. It looks like it was just excavated. I have only one suggestion and that is to try to get the entire tureen in focus. The upper part of the lid is just a little soft. |

| I really like this shot. I think that the angle and framing/cropping are excelent. The placement of the soup pot is very nice to the right of the photo. focus and clarity are also very nice. I expecially like the lighting. definately adds to the oldness of this shot. I'm glad you didn't do this in black and white. although it would have still been very nice, I like the bonus of the extra color. Great job. one of my fovorites. |

Great idea for the Challenge.
Looks like an old dish, and your idea comes across.
Colour is fine, and the dust works fine, like the way the paint shows it peeling off nature.
Lighting works great too, especialy with that shadow off to the left side. |
