My wife didn't like this shot too much. She felt that I made myself look to much not like myself. But I went with it anyway. I am just making myself look better for the fans you know.

An outsranding headshot executed to perfection much like those you find in Playbill. Good razor like focus and wonderful tonal values. bumping up.

i don't know anything about portraiture, so i'm using your image as a guinnea pig as to what i think i would or wouldn't do in this situation, as well as what i notice and get out of your image.

excellent job with the focus--the eyes really come through. the range of tones is nice to, especially how the background works to accentuate your face. the lighting from the top, though, seems to be just a tad too strong, as though it's washing out some of the texture and character in your face; not a lot, just a bit. but then again, it will be a long time before i come close to this work. good job, and good luck!

Overall Calculated Average Score: 7, I like the slightly tilted head. I think it gives a more comfortable/friendly feel to the shot

Great eyes, focus, and lighting. I think the pose looks a bit uncomfortable. The shot seems crammed in the frame. I think it needed a bit of a different angle showing some neck. Pretty good though
