A noce image with a good incandescent rich glow. The camera angle works nice. Bumping up.

Having one eye blacked out is not that nice and lends a pirate like air.

i don't know anything about portraiture, so i'm using your image as a guinnea pig as to what i think i would or wouldn't do in this situation, as well as what i notice and get out of your image.

this rocks! the lighting, expression, focus, colors, composition, all work well here. great job!

I like the drama of the low lateral light and the chin tucked in pose, but the facial shadows really bother me. It looks like you have a big gaping hole in your eye socket. I think you could have gotten the same effect with more or less shadow on that side of the face without the distraction.

It seems to have gone a little too much to green, especially around the eye. Nice shot though.

I love the expression and lighting. The background works nicely as well. IO'm having a little trouble with the amount of cropping on the head in relation to the off-center composition. I can't explain it better than that unfortunately... I like the image, but I feel like it needs a different balance.
