			Okay, so here's the story: I bought a PINK slinky at the dollar store, but my kids promptly lost it, so all I had left was a blue one. I used the blue one.
 
 I grabbed a photo of the Earth from NASA, printed it, and then attached the slinky onto the printed prop, centering the Earth in the slinky's opening. I then simply shot the camera into the slinky, trying dozens of variants in terms of centered, how much bend, etc. In Photoshop, I put the Earth on a different layer, then shifted the slinky colors until they were pink. I added black to the blacks and adjusted levels for both layers. Then sharpened. I think it's fun. |
