 This is "Berti". Heida's and Nazgul's kitten. Used a single bowens espirit 500w with a softbox for this shot.

One of my favorites for this challenge. You know the Icelanders are talented folk when even the kittens make good models. :) Excellent image, and my only 10.

The lighting is superb, the idea is unique and the picture is just wonderful.

Heida's cat, eh? Damned good thing it didn't ribbon, then, or there'd be a REAL conspiracy posse on the warpath.

To those who don't see "new" and "old" here, what is a kitten if not new? And the scale is ancient...

good picture of the kitten, and good idea, but you can't see the scale at all, at least not on my monitor...a bit more light would have been nice

This is just tooo sweet.. It's my favourite from the bunch this time around, but I feer the cat haters will vote you down.. Maybe could have had a little more light o the scales, but a great photo for the wall none the less..

Cute! I've always had trouble getting (awake) cats to cooperate long enough to come out with a good shot. This one looks like one of those inspirational posters a teacher might have around in the classroom (that's a good thing--I'd alwaas preferred staring mindlessly at those to paying attention in class).

nice take on the challenge...I was first going to mark it down cause I was judging that both the old and new should be the same item...guess it really doesn't have to be...I would have liked a little more front light but really like this too. Good job and good luck

Cute shot, nicely lit - the kitten is adorable.

I'm guessing the kitten is the new and the scales are the old, which is more interesting than yet another roll of film vs. memory card but I think the link to the theme is still a little weak.

The way the kitten is looking off at who knows what is a great touch, makes you wonder what he's thinking.
