This was my fav of the challenge but I am at a loss why this did not finish in the top 5. Great shot Martin

I think this one should have been in top 10

An interesting and different shot, but the background, while it does meet the challenge, is distracting from the subject.

like i'm going to have anything bad to say about this guy...

excellent portrait. your bokeh, though, is a bit busy and distracting from an otherwise powerful image. you would have done well, even if you had cropped off the left 20% of the image. keep in mind, good bokeh enhances the subject; you could probably revisit this with some minor burning and have a killer image. good luck!

Excellent bokeh that really adds to a powerful image - well done

I like the portrait, but I think this bokeh actually detracts from the subject, rather than enhancing him. To me, this guy simply looks out of place against a gay and festive-looking background. He's gone to a lot of effort to look mean & nasty (hat, shades, beard, hair, ears, staunch expression, & of course all in black), and you treat him like he was Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Maybe you wanted to indicate his true inner man? Or is he coming out of the closet? 5.

A very good visual.

A great example of brokeh IMO. while technicaly a great shot. I just don't find it to an awe inspiring shot and am unable to feel any atachment to the shot. I feel that the technique is great but the subject is lacking.

I like the reflections in his sunglasses.....

Well done! A 9 from me.

Great shot, good luck.

Badass. Nice skin tones. The first thing that strikes me is that the background looks a little christmasy, oh, the irony... And the title sounds like his club. Good composition, well done.

great "bad bokeh"!

I don't like the shadows on his face and neck (distracting), but other than that I think this is a superb shot for this challenge!

I like the bokeh created by the bikes :) Great idea...

True bokeh, but the background's at war with the subject IMO. I'd like to see it with the BG blurred a little with gaussian and desatruated/decontrasted a bit. Even the face itself is a little too contrasty for my tatstes...
