your lighting here, if you haven't been told already, is a bit too strong. it's always easier to recover from underexposure than overexposure, but there are some tricks that you can use under advanced editing to correct this...
the image is cute and works well with the background. as a rule, though, centered focus doesn't make for the most interesting images because that tends to put the subject in your face without inviting your eyes to wander around. good luck! |

You have created bokeh but the harsh flash on the ornament takes away from the image. Maybe try using natural or ambient light with a slower shutter or difusing your flash with tissue paper or the like. Hope this helps. |

Nice bokeh but lacks creativity. This seems like a last minute desparate entry to me! You have the right idea with the bokeh, but I wish you had put a little more thought into the subject. A small wooden man dead center in the frame shows poor compositional skills and creativity. I know you can do better than that! |
