 Just being a little silly here.. I think the background does enhance the subject, although it isn't as "in your face" as some of the bokeh examples I've seen. It's a very subtle kind of bokeh.

I'll probably get creamed for the selective desat as well, but you know what? Tough. It really works here. I chose a cooler tone for the duotone as well, to help sell the "crystal" feel of the controller, and the wispy, wintry background.

Anyway, we'll see how it does.

Yah. One of my better photographs as far as "technical" goes.. but it certainly wasn't very good for the challenge..

Whattya gonna do.

I'm too far ahead of my time I think. A genius in an age of mediocrity.

I couldn't see how the out-of-focus elements enhance the image of the XBox thing. Sorry. 3.

I don't like seeing the adhesive holding the controller up, the background is a little too bland.

Nice desat job :-) Understated bokeh. Lighting a tad hot on the upper part of the controller. Fun image.
