My first submission. Struggled with the theme really, but timing at the castle was nice with only er, Waldo, silhoutted against the skyline.

Rotated, Levels, Contrast & Colour adjustments, and then a final crop.

Thanks for all the comments, and the excellent critique. Interesting comment about the polariser, was annoyed with myself when I realised I had left it out the bag - would most definitely have used it.

well congrats on your first submission, let me be the first to give you an official critique from the critique club.

The castle seems a little out of focus, which is too bad, or perhaps the image in general is a bit soft... however you used a very small aperature so focus shouldn't have been much of a problem... did you have a large zoom on the lens?... anyhow putting that aside, the picture has very interesting light, I think this helped with your score. The person on the edge is well placed in the frame. I like how the castle plays with the sky, using the windows to show the sky through, as well as on the left side of the photo where the sky comes down to the grass.

congrats on a decent first score.

A cool ruin. The sunset light gives it the special touch. I'm not sure whether I found Waldo on the left side or whether it is somthing else. Looks like a backpacker? You might have pushed the ornage-blue contrast a little more. Good composition. 9.

When photographing such a large area, everything seems out of focus, like the warm winter color though

Nice. The sky seems a bit dull and perhaps a tad noisy. Did you try this with a polarizer filter? - it might have helped add drama to the sky. I almost never shoot outside without one.

Very nice picture ... and two Waldo. I would have cropped the second one out and it would be just perfect. But anyway ... a very nice picture :)
