This picture was taken on New Year's Day evening, in a cemetery near our home. I was setting up the tripod and my model (my husband) was getting ready to go up to the headstones. It was quiet and dark, when all of a sudden a bird flew out of a tree a couple of feet from us. What the..... Spoooky! The lighting in the background was from street signs and streetlamps. There was a police officer right across the road as we pulled out of the cemetery (which closed hours ago). We thought we'd been had... but we hadn't.

Normally I'd say "too dark," but in this case I think that the effect is kind of neat.

colors are good for silhouette.

Your picture si much too dark, the tree and the person can hardly be seen, there are no interesting details. The ground is pitch black (at least on my screen), and should have been cropped away, as it doesn't add to the image. 3.

One of my favorites - the lighting is perfectly eerie & oddly soothing. Well done!

I love this shot, its one of my favorites for this challenge. The twilight adds so much to the feel of the subject.

This could've been brightened up just a bit. It's too dark to really see the headstones... I had to look closely and only noticed them because of the title.

Altough a tad too dark, I like it

I think it is too dark, even for a night. A cemetery is hard to make out without the title

a little spooky - reminds me of 'Unforgiven'.

Very thought provoking.... I, personally, would have liked to have seen more varying shades of black, gray, and white... Maybe lighten it up a bit... But still a powerful picture and title. (8)

This one is really beautiful. I think the tree and the silouhettes are perfect. It's dark, but not too dark. I'm giving this one a 10 because I think it's perfect for this challenge and to me it's just right overall.

Good black on black picture. It´s a shame that Waldo is very obviously where he is.

good photo with dramatic feel but still would benefit from more light, i bet this would be a great image if properly exposed.
