Candid...as in stark...white...bright...absense of deception..okay so I'm "mental"...

A candid landscape?

Is this really a candid shot? I mean, I'm sure you didn't pose the trucks that way, but still...

IMO doesn't meet challenge. Otherwise not a bad shot. Would benefit from more post processing.

Not sure about the candid aspect of this photo...

It may be that you won't agree with me, but in my mind "candid" implies a photograph of a person at a candid (i.e. unaware of the camera) moment. So, to that way of thinking, this doesn't really meet the challenge. I suppose you're breaking new ground ... a candid photo of a landscape.

In my opinion, candid has to have living subjects in it.

How is this candid? You need a subject!
01/05/2005 02:21:54 PM
how can an inanimate object be candid?

Candid shot of a road???

It's a nice photo, but how is it candid?
01/04/2005 04:45:26 PM
This is not a "candid" by my definition, lacking any live subject.

I'm sure you've got the same "dosen't meet the challenge" comment 50 times but I feel obligated to mention it because of how I scored this.

Anyhow this is a lovely photo I just don't see the connection to the challenge.

Good luck

I love the photo, not sure if it fits the Candid part...the only complaint is it looks like the horizon is crooked.

This is a landscape photograph. Even the presence of the trucks in the far reaches cannot in anyway bring a connotation of candid to me. Photgraphically, the image has a nice leading line of the highway, the horizon is split along the bottom 3rd nicely and it is well exposed for the capture that you have taken. There is an abundance of noise in the sky and hills that should be eliminated with Noise Ninja or Neat Image, but the subject overall has little to bring me back to wanting to view it again. Combined, lack of challenge validity, excessive noise, and minimal artistic value or interest level: apologies for a 1.

Nice but not very Candid.

I bet you are getting hammered as bad as I am :)
I like the shot but I think it could use some additional adjustments with curves and etc. I may have cropped out the poles also. Nice idea.

Not sure about this entry.

and the party never ends! Interesting perspective and take on the challenge.

What's candid about this??
