There was a crowd on the hike that day. Susie and Joe were enjoying the river rocks when they suddenly felt tiny drops coming down... oh no it was raining.
So they took off their shoes and trekked along unhurried, enjoying the warmth and knowing there was nothing they could do about it. Who knows... if they keep their eyes open they might find a rainbow ahead. |

It started to rain.
"You're not afraid of a little water, are you?" asked her father. Brenda looked around at the other hikers. They were all leaving. But Brenda could not show fear.
"Let's go," she said. "Further in."
"That's my girl."
They heard a noise, a strange, loud, noise that sounded both far away and very near, and getting closer. |
