Well done photo, good planning and execution. I see swirls. I see (leading) lines. I see graphic. Escher art, IMO, was mathematical, precise, everything fit together.
And maybe Henri Cartier-Bresson was too, in a way, but the subjects are so different that I'm finding it hard to wrap my head around the similarities here. He took life scenes and made them balanced, used geometry for sure but I think it was more about turning chaotic (urban mostly) spaces into orderly abstraction with shapes and light. (please note that I have no formal art training, this is just what I take away.) Cartier-Bresson is one of my favorites, Escher to me is interesting at best. |
