Will have to split this next spring once it's dried out some. :)

To answer the question of the work involved with the log pile - I had just finished cutting this (took a few days) and the idea of using it for a challenge photo came about the day before. So I went ahead and finished doing the work in order to be properly sweaty and grungy and then took the photo. I can't take credit for actually creating this log pile on purpose just for the photo though. :-)

Yeah--when I first saw this, I knew two things: (1) This is a working man who actually takes as much pride in a job well done as a great photo, and (2) this is the work of a photographer whose creative eye never stops fishing for imaginative compositions. I'd say this ought to make for a very satisfying weekend project completion. :-)
