 I may have let my inner child play play a little too long in the conceptual sandbox...but let's see.

Three exposures used. All from within a few blocks of each other in downtown College Station. One is from the engineering school at Texas A&M University--a real architectural marvel. Another is a straight-up view of a finished luxury apartment/condo complex with a construction crane doing work on a new complex next to it. And the most prominent image is of a construction worker standing in the middle of concrete pillars on an active job site for yet another high-rise residential complex in the making.

They say in college towns and most developing urban areas there are really only two seasons: Winter and Construction. Here in Texas, and in certain locales, I don't even think we get Winter.

I applaud your challenging yourself and thinking outside the box. Your composition is one that forces the viewer not only to see it but to spend time contemplating it. I know I did. Thanks for adding the background information. It adds even more to understanding your thought process.

P.S. Thank you, Jonathan, for your most recent and previous comments on my entries. I really enjoy reading your critiques especially the most recent one in this challenge. It was so enlightening for me to get a sense of what the viewer sees and feels when they judge my entries. You have expressed sentiments that I appreciate and learn from in a positive way!

I really like this - I think I am particularly drawn to the tension created by the interplay of the strong verticals with the diagonals.
