 I took this image in NSW last year. I thought of this photo as soon as the challenge was announced. The woman in the photo could have easily been Beata, the short blond hair and the build.

I was so so sad to hear about Beata. I had messaged her in the past and she talked to me about her depression but I was oblivious to the fact that she was still suffering.

I wasn't 100% positive this was yours during voting, so I didn't want to comment until after rollover. But I just have to share that Beata was the first person to ever compare my work to yours--particularly in your shaping of light and tasteful use of distressed, vintage, and painterly textures. I think she would have loved seeing this photo on the front page of any challenge, but especially this one.

One of the three photos I rated most highly in the challenge. Great to see you still kickin' ass here. I should have thought to say hi when I was out west last year.

The texture overlay is fantastic. The solitary subject on the beach adds a lot of emotion as well.
