 Idea struck head hours before deadline - minutes before bedtime, pun intended. I live in Iceland so the midnight deadline is 5 AM for me. This is shot at f/32 with a 100mm macro lens. I pointed small LED's at the sensor and something magical happened when I closed the aperture down this much, these dotted trails appeared, must have something to do with the "circle of diffusion" phenomenon. Reminds me of these kaleidoscopic toys from childhood. The subject camera is my Canon R3. I had do two kinds of dust removal, one physical and one virtual, so you better had given me a decent score for all this hard work.
