 At Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge in Minnesota, the aurora spilled across the sky in rivers of flame-red, gold, and green, flowing like molten light above the quiet marsh. The reflection trembled on the water's skin, as if the earth itself was trying to hold onto the moment before it slipped back into darkness.
