Towering loblolly pine trees, as viewed from ground level. One of the views of the Lost Pines area of Texas that I never get tired of seeing, especially when the sky is clear and the pine needles are cast in sharp relief like this.

I appreciate the comments. I had a feeling that the textural overlay on this one might be--especially in b/w conversion--mistaken for sensor dust. I think that was a poor layering choice on my part for this treatment. I like it better in the color treatment:

Very high contrast for sure. I do like the POV. Seems like your camera sensor may need some cleaning?

the very harsh processing makes my eyes hurt and what looks like sensor dust at the top of the frame detracts but the composition compensates...
