A tongue-in-cheek title, yes. When I invited my 12-year-old son to collaborate with me on setting up a shot involving action figures and one or more batteries, this was the idea he came up with. We tweaked the build together, and then he held the light while I triggered the exposure and did the light-painting. We worked on the processing together, too--his feelings about whether a particular effect was good or not being the deciding factor in whether it came or went. (It was his idea to apply the blur filter to the little things the "lightning" bolts are going into to make it look like they're spinning, for instance, while it was my idea to use layer masking and brush stroke textures to make the light-painted "bolts" of lightning appear more jagged.)

I printed a 4x6 for him to hang on his memory wall. And he immediately decided to make this scene his new browser background on his school-issued Chromebook so he could show if off to his friends.

That's awesome. :-) Yeah, I think "adult LEGO" is a lot like adult coloring books. It's sense-making and richly therapeutic in ways that you appreciate more the older you get, I think. I imagine for older adults, especially, it's a fantastic way to preserve neuroplasticity.
