I'm so happy about this ribbon!
But most of all, that I took this picture at all.
I drove to Lake Ammersee, about a half-hour drive from where I live, to take photos for the landscape challenge (although I didn't use them).
There, on the jetty, these three boys were lying relaxed on their pillows on a small wooden jetty, enjoying the beautiful evening and the sunset. They were obviously having a great time. Next to them was an empty pizza box and they were listening to music from a cell phone – not the hit parade, nothing loud – really nice, fitting, chilled music. So unusual for children of this age!
Their feet immediately caught my eye, and I asked if I could take a photo. They agreed right away; one boy even took off his socks for me. Then, very politely, they wished me a nice evening and good luck with the photography. I was completely inspired by the kind nature of these young people.
