Hmm. Thanks Anita, just noticed this going back thru and looking at the images.

I guess what I was thinking was driven by the size of the insect being photographed? Often, I comment on first impressions, sometimes probably not the best way to do it, but hey, nobody's perfect. :-)

One of my top picks this challenge. The color and level of detail here are amazing, and there's a rich sense of visual depth. My ONLY nit is that the eye of the butterfly--which is the natural focal point for the composition--appears a smidge out of focus on my desktop monitor. A wee bit of selective sharpening might clear that up. But it hasn't impacted my score today.
