It was late afternoon and this guy was making repairs on the fence in our backyard. I noticed the strong shadows and decided maybe a picture that was mostly the shadow with the subject casting it almost cut off might work for Unusual Crop, so I grabbed my camera and went out. I told him what I was going to do so he wouldn't think I had an ulterior motive and told him to go on with what he was doing. Then I just started taking pictures. Camera was in burst mode from something I'd done earlier so I got quite a few shots. I did NOT "see" this shadow shape when I was shooting - only once I downloaded. But I couldn't unsee it or stop grinning and of course I had to use it.
