 I'm still very new to super macros, but I felt this challenge gave me occasion to experiment with trying to finding a little drama and personality in a classic "bug shot." So here's a first stab at that.

This is a single exposure of a crab spider probably no more than 1/8" in size, resting in ambush on an uncertain weed species I gathered from my front yard. With more time and slightly better equipment, I would have tried some diffused flash and focus bracketing to try getting better overall DOF, but I was pleased to at least get a pretty good overall focus on the spider's face.
