 I planted these sunflowers on my deck. Gold finches are one of my more favorite birds to watch. They are so colorful. I was ready to photograph one eating seeds when the male showed up. I was so lucky to get both in the same shot!

Thank you! The gold finches love sunflower seeds so they are naturally drawn to the flowers. They seem to appear in the morning around 9 am and then periodically throughout the day.

this is stunning Larry .. the birds of course but everything else in the image .. the colours are gorgeous .. and i'm loving the dof ..
