 I knew we had a very interesting sunset developing with a storm front moving in. Quickly grabbed the drone and put it up. I was shocked when I saw this sky out there. Wasn't expecting that! :-)

Almost had a catastrophy in that I have a wetsuit for the drone but I forgot to put the plug in over the battery button! Fortunately the rain wasn't heavy enough to fry the battery in flight and drop the drone!

Funny sidebar; my wife took some amazing photos at ground level with her phone while I was looking above the treeline. I actually had a twinge of jealousy when she showed me. ... but, can't be both places at once. :-D

This is really great. Super-well judged exposure/edit - luminance levels perfect across the board. Stunning technical image, as well as being really compelling as a photograph of place and time.

To me this looks very ominous - like some sci-fi phenomenon set to bring down disaster upon the peaceful land beneath.

Those clouds sure are amazing, spectacular actually. A tad too saturated albeit. But man what a scene. Should do well.
