to jealous .. !! ..
"Hidden During Voting"

i was going to put on my gum boots and noticed a praying mantis on the lip .. thank goodness i saw it or it would have been squashed when i put on the gumboot ..

anyway .. i decided to put the praying mantis in the grass and see if i could get a photo ..

the praying mantis was totally unobliging .. it went down into the grass where i couldnt get a good shot ..

the next day i went out to see if i could find it .. which would be an absolute miracle .. the praying mantis is the same colour as the grass and very small .. and there's a lot of grass ..

the miracle happened .. i saw two praying mantis .. i couldnt believe my luck .. also it had been raining so there were rain drops ..

i got a few photos .. thought with my luck i could come back the next day and take more and better photos .. i mean if i found them once i could find them again ..

my optimism was unfounded ..
i have looked for days and days for more praying mantis and never found another one .. :(
