Greetings from the Critique Club
By Inspzil

Composition - Good subject for yellow. One I thought might get done to death. Looks like you shot this on a pretty crummy day. It looks very dreary and honestly it doesn't help your pic at all because a) it looks very dreary for the background and b) There needs to be a little more light/exposure for this picture. The ugly green garage in the back is also not helping matters. The composition to me, is fair. A better day, maybe pretty good. I think you could've done a lot more things if you were inside the fence, but that's sorta what its there for. Cropping some of the stuff off the top of this photo and making it semi-panoramic might have been a good idea. The trees above the barn aren't helping this image.

Technical - A really well taken photo. You sort of lose a little of the wheels from being slightly underexposed. This is one of those pics I could see actually desaturating all the colors but yellow to see if you can make it seem a little less dreary. I'm suprised the trees behind the garage got a little fuzzy at f8 from this far away. Maybe it's just the distance.

Overall - This is a pretty good picture taken on a pretty bad day. Very well taken. You did well with what you had to work with and I think the voting showed that. Good job and good luck in the upcoming weeks' challenges. - Bob

Nice capture - I like that they aren't all equidistant to each other. More interesting.
Would personally prefer much more cropped off at the top.

Would have loved to have seen this cropped down to the top of the buses. Cool shot.

i was surprised to not see more buses in this challenge. Even if there were others, I'm sure this would have been the best one. I really like the composition. I think it would have been interesting to crop out the top and bottom and just make a long strip and to have had a smaller aperature. 5

Cool angle and rhythm of pattern. I thought I was looking at a 3-D image. I don\'t know if the apex was cropped out would make it more effective or not. Maybe it\'s distracting in someway.

Really interesting and engaging pattern; good eye. I wish there were more light/dark contrasts to keep my interest even further.

good job

Given the space at the top of the frame I'd say that this was too tightly cropped at the bottom. Nice depth and colour.

wow i like this one, maybe crop more of the top

So many buses. I like the idea - imagine if you spent a day lining the buses up so the spacing was identical between them all. Focus is good and the aspect ratio of the picture is very appropriate.

Great shot. I would have rated it higher with a tighter crop. (the building light distracts)

Great shot, I like the angle. Good luck.

Nice. Cropping off the top of the building would make this a strong picture.

I really expected to see a lot of school buses in this challenge. Amazingly enough this is one of the few, if not only shot of buses.

Yellow.....and rhythm. Too bad about the background.

Love it 1 point for every bus but I'II take one off because I don't like the roof 9

This is some good work. I wonder did you take any that put you closer along side the buses? Also closer cropping at the top could have also helped this photo score better in the challenge. --5

too bad they couldn't park very syncronized . . .

nice shot. i think i would have cropped the top a little lower (un-needed space)

Good idea but should have shot it at more of an angle, with less of the buildings in the back. Good shot tho. 6.
