 thanks for the great comments and votes during voting .. receiving comments makes it all worth while ..
anyway .. this is a hoverfly that landed on a fireweed flower .. i was able to get two shots .. one where his proboscis was totally extended .. and it had bits of pollen on it ..
i entered this one as i felt ppl might be totally grossed out by the extended proboscis ..
looks almost x-rated .. ;)
