edit:

I'm quite lazy at providing notes these days. But since this picture might end up in the Top Ten (currently at 6.8) here is an explanation:

There is another lovely picture of exotiv fruits in the challenge - this is about what I planned but couldn't accomplish.

I wanted to have a big banana leaf and some starfruit in the picture but the local supermarket and flower shop didn't have any. So I bought the Strelizia and all the other fruit.
The setup was a bit tricky - I used a flexible knitting needle with a little disc at the end to thread the mango and papaya and attached it to a hook at the ceiling. The fruits were so heavy I had to hurry to get the rest of the fruits in place! The grapefruit and the kiwi were pinned with a kebab skewer into the pineapple.
I took a bunch of pictures and downloaded it to my pc. I wasn't impressed with the results - the mango and papaya were hanging too high - I wanted them to look like they were balancing on the knife. But the knitting needle was just too short and the table wasn't high enough... I hoped to take another round of shots afterwards but in the meantime the knitting needle let go and mango and papya were smashed.
So this was unavoidably the final result. I just had to clone out the transparent knitting rod and the skewer.

Kudos for the effort and result. It could make a very good poster if you could eliminate the texture of the table

I love images like this with things falling. I want to learn how to do this.

To me, this isn't a good still life since you're purposefully adding "motion" to it, but... I love it and I'm not voting. :D
