Indeed! And it makes me wonder if this would have grabbed the red with a tighter/square crop ...

WOW .. this is absolutely stunning .. your little subject .. so perfectly positioned .. doing what hummingbirds do .. and your extraordinary out of focus background .. thats just out of this world ..
i then looked to see what lens etc .. and wondered . .. clicked on the camera and saw all your wonderful pics .. you take amazing photos of hummingbirds .. like this one .. i'm blown away ..

Beautiful - perfect exposure on the hummingbird. In a perfect world, I’d love a more interesting background, but nonetheless an impressive photo.
