 These are Burrowing Owls. They are the most photogenic creatures I have ever encountered. They are used to people so they are aware of the camera and I honestly think they enjoy posing. I have gotten so many incredible shots of them.

I never track birds in flight so the limits of the Nikon Z7ii's tracking system is not an issue for me but I never could have gotten these shots with my Nikon DSLR. The mirrorless viewfinder is just heaven to me. It feels like discovering photography all over again.
