The front yard of my apartment building in Taichung, looking down from the 24th floor.
I took this handheld - with 2.5 seconds exposure time. The in body stabilization really works!

Well, not quite - I redid the photograph because the ISO was pushed up too high to my liking and now I ended up with 10 seconds exposure. That was a bit too much for handheld, so I had to use a tripod.
But the result is intriguing, in particular how nice the starbursts turned out. The 9 blade diaphragm makes an 18-ray star that is quite nice!
I enjoyed learning a new technique, and I thank all voters for their appreciation and, even more so, their comments.

For those with doubts: this was shot in perfect agreement with the challenge requirements: no filters, no processing - just diaphragm settings to get the desired effect. Aperture f/22, Focal Length 28mm, Exposure 10 seconds, ISO 1600. |

this should have totally beaten my entry in this challenge .. it's so sharp and clean .. and those starbursts are absolutely perfect ..

Except for that lower bottom one, the starbursts are understated, which I appreciate. The entirety of the image is intricate and enjoyable to explore. The variety of shapes and lines, then, is engaging while avoiding being cacophanous. So suitable for a black and white treatment.

if i showed this to any of my family members they would be blown away ..
i'm including myself in that lineup ..
this is a total WOW ... and an incredible image ..
and look at those starbursts dotted around like wonderful electric flowers ..
it doesnt get much better than this .. considering the minimal edit ruleset ..
ribbon for sure .. :)
