soft focus

Cool bracelets, though they don't seem to look good in this setup. I think that taking them off the arm and maybe arranging them on a table or other surface with some interesting lighting would show them off better. The focus looks just a tiny bit off on the close sides of the bracelets too.

This would be greatly improved by having the hand involved in some sort of action, not simply hanging there. I'd try using this pretty arm and a large masculine arm in an arm wrestling contest. That would add action, irony and a create a nice diagonal line around which you could compose a solid photograph. Also, entering an out of focus photo is a sure recipe for a very low score.

A compositing other than dead-center would be more interesting, and you might want to experiment with different lighting, this is pretty harsh and made a distracting shadow.

Out of focus and harsh lighting (from flash?)

I like the mix of organic and inorganic. I do find the shadow from the flash distracting though. Maybe try a second light source on the wall?

Focus is quite soft on the bracelets. I would prefer this with crisp focus. The lighting is also not right. looks like a low light shot with flash. See the horrible shadow under the arm on the wall. Some ways to fix this would be to not use the flash, use as much other light as possilbe and move away from the wall some. The subjects are interesting and there are definately 7 of them. ~Heather~

Try harder next time.

The bracelets are colorful and could be an interesting subject, but the photo is out of focus and the flash has left some distracting and unattractive shadows on the bottom.

Lots of shadows and out of focus.

Meets the challenge, but I'm afraid that the lighting and focus leave much to be desired...

Out of focus and really bad shadow from flash. Hand in more natural position would have made a much better photo - maybe it would have been harder to count the bracelets but I doubt you use them normally this way...

wish focus were sharper and find the shadow very distracting.

could've had better lighting and a better angle would've helped make it more intrusting.

try palm facing out and foreward then put the cam. on a timer facing up at the tips of the fingres, focus it to infinity shooting up at a white surface, so u see all the braceletes from the bottom up on the rist.(if u followed any of that it may creat a more intrusting overall pic.)

the key to all the stuff that i do (in the everyday object section) is to take shots from angles not commanly seen. if u can create new intrust in an oridnary itom ppl will suddenly be stuck looking at your shots.

by the way this is a great idea just try to profect it more and more, u got a little to close w/the camera(out of focus in the center) and the lighting + flash created a bad shadow.-GL in the challenge and future.
