i uploaded this for the scavenger hunt thread .. the subject was saves ..
my daughter hit a very large wombat driving home one night .. she phoned me and i went to pick her up .. her car was very damaged and couldnt be driven ..
the mother wombat was dead but some marsupials have a baby in their pouch a lot of the time ..
so when i picked up my daughter i phoned WIRES .. which are the wildlife rescue people in australia ..
a lady came out .. it was 3 in the morning .. and cut the joey out of the mother's pouch ..
the joey would be hand reared until it would be able to look after itself and then released into the wild ..
