Greetings from the critique club.

Nice composition and great idea!

I certainly see what feel you are going for with this image and i beleive the single most element that's holding it back it the lighting. This image would leap off the screen if you would either increase your exposure time or simply add more light. This would also make the texture of these fruits much more visiable.

Let's say that you didn't have access to lighting equipment at the time nor a tripod increase exposure time, then you could help this photography out by playing around with the levels. This would make the colors more vibrant and pleasing to the eye. Adobe Photoshop (3 and up) has fantastic levels functions (color correction functions) that can allow you to enhance your image greatly and best of all it's totally legal to play around with the levels in the challenges.

A few other things... removing the stickers from the lemons would also add to this image. They are a bit distracting and take away from the overall feel. You could even try arranging all the lemons in the same way...ie all facing north, to give more of a rythmic pattern to the image.

Good luck!

I think this needs more light in order to brighten it up and to bring out the texture on the skins.

INteresing patterns. Looks a bit out of focus. More contrast may heighten the patterns.

These lemons are really out of focus.

color is not very vibrant.

This is an interesting composition, but the light is a little too weak to make the yellow stand out and really punch hard... - setzler

Color is too dull, needs to be more vibrant.

Yellow looks dull. A little more exposure to brightened up the skin of the fruits.

The colors are very muted. For a simple improvement in color, run the Auto Level feature in Photoshop. You will see a drastic difference.

More lemons

Could have been good. Focus and color balance subtract from the shot.

A bit muddy ---fooling with the contrast/light/dark would have made this one much better.

Just a little too dark - try adjustment of the Level in PS to improve
