This is Sasha

Sasha is.... um... well...

Interesting!

Very sweet, very... er... well, busy?

Sasha is SaraR's son's dog. The first time I met Sasha he was ripping apart a cushion and carrying people's shoes around.

And then Sara needed to bring her son to an appointment, and I was left to babysit.

I was told that if Sasha finds something -- don't try to take it away from him. Just ignore him.

Yeah. Easier said than done. Sasha found a piece of mail and started shredding it. But it was unopened mail!! It could be important! So I gave Sasha part of my leftover sandwich. She dropped the mail, ate the sandwich piece and picked the mail up again.

Ok. This time I got him to drop the mail, stepped over it, gave the next sandwich bite and grabbed the mail quickly.

whew!

Ok -- next he got into the cupboard and started on plastic bags.

Well, crap! If he swallowed plastic, that wouldn't be good!

But I ignored him. Then I heard a great crash in the kitchen.

Crap again!! I didn't put the sandwich back far enough on the counter. Sasha got to the sandwich and knocked a bottle off the counter. Luckily it didn't break.

Then I lucked out. Sasha slept for quite awhile. Woke up about 20 minutes before Sara was due home.

And found more things to start tearing apart.

Ok, Sasha, I wasn't going to bother with low key, but you obviously need something to do. Hop up on this chair. There's not enough light for low key, but I did bring a single flash.

Sasha wasn't sure about the flash. When I took the first shot, he just laid down on the chair and didn't move. So I took some more shots.

He got down and wanted to go after something else. I convinced him to go back on the chair, and again, the flash just settled him down. He just wasn't quite sure about it.

He was almost my touch of yellow shot, as well.

Sasha is completely sweet, definitely adorable, and reminded me why I'm glad that my kids are out of the toddler stage!

Thanks Sasha!!

(and thanks for all the comments. :)

10 from me (only 10). I just love this shot. I have also enjoyed your notes. It all sounds familiar. We have a 4 month old puppy and her behaviour is just as admirable.

That eye really brings this from too dark to just right. Nicely done.

Sascha is a definite handful. He is the most adorable, loving dog you can imagine, but he does like to play a game of stealing things. Once you engage by chasing him, that's it, you'll be at it for the next couple of hours. He particularly like, in order of preference, an old soft toy of mine, my glasses, my computer mouse, the cat's bed, my purse.... He loves coming to visit as my son doesn't have a back garden (although amazing countryside direct from the front door), but I won't allow him in the back garden unsupervised as he digs..and digs...and digs....

I was astounded Wendy managed to get him to sit long enough to take a photo - most of mine are action shots of him running! So, thank you to Wendy for minding him, and also for the lovely photo.

Haha! Sasha sounds like a handful! She reminds me of my Vizsla granddog! Like babysitting a toddler! You have to watch them every minute! But, beautiful and sweet, and she gave you an honorable mention, so it’s all good, right? Congratulations!

Loving the lighting on this; one of the few images that meets my interpretation of low key so up there in my favourites! That eye!
