I love when people ask.. is this supposed to be art?
*lol* This is pretty cool. I think the score just reflects the idea around dpc that this is a straight photography site. Traditional sorts of shots do the best even when they say that you should be creative. The red and yellow is really nice here. I don't like the green in the shadow so much though. Maybe you can desaturate a channel to fix that. Getting rid of the shadow alltogether is another option. Good placement of the head within the frame. I think this is a fun picture, but if you're concerned with the score then you should probably go a little more mainstream next time.

This is a picture of a lego head
It has been distorted with a magnifying glass
The red patches are just there when i increased the contrast.

The subject of ths photo is interesting.

An amusing abstract image. It kinda grows on you after awhile. Lovely vivid bubble gum red, orange and yellows. I like the mercurial flow of the orange especially. Unfortunately too many folks may give you that knee jerk "3" vote for not being tack sharp with cutting edge contrast. That's too bad. Because this is a lively freeform hang loose image. I would be happy without the green/black shadow ( a minor remark ). Nice easy on the mind creative touch. Thank you for your very unique submission.

I wonder how you got this effect! It's really interesting and cool.

Bizarre shot! I'd really like to know what this is and how it was done! (I'll make a mental note to read the description after the challenge, hint - if you description is N/A or something like that, could you describe this and it's process in a comment on the photo after the challenge?? Please?) The sunglasses and smile strike me as funny/odd (in a good way!). Yellow challenge met! The yellow object is just purplexing, seems like flame, but that just can't be (how would one hang sunglasses on a flame?). Some of the dark details say "lots of post processing" to me (see the various artifacts in the shadow?). Cool artsy image. Now for the slight downside....Due to the cool effects, this seems less like a photo and more like a made up art piece (really this isn't totally bad effect, but this a photo contest, so I have an up-front expectation that the image will "look" like a photo. (Probably my bad!) Score upgrade from 5 to 6. Swash

Really soft focus - is this supposed to be "artistic"?

Cool idea. How did you do that?? Very creative and nicely taken. The colors are displayed very well. Good job.

It's yellow so it meets the challenge. It is also funny and the composition is good with the negative space on the right. It is just out of focus and a tad over saturated though.
