I really do appreciate the comments!
Although it may not be immediately apparent it was raining and that was the mood I was trying to capture... people having to wait for a light to change. I thought the lady with the umbrella would tell part of this story which is why she was left in. The guy on the other side of the street looks in a bad mood although that's hard to see in the small print.
There is not a lot of time to compose when the light doesn't stay red for that long. I was also a bit concerned about getting the camera wet.
I find that for the few challenges I've entered so far I don't get an idea until the last day or two and then it's a bit of a rush to put together and it rarely turns out to be something that I'm all that happy with, but I guess we all work under the same conditions.
Perhaps next year when I'm retired my entries will get better. |

| this is a tough shot for the challenge. as the sign is not really the subject, the image relies on the title for a point of reference. maybe if you had set up the shot slightly to the left, or had cropped out the person with the unbrella. just a slight change in perspective could make all the difference in the world. |

this shot seems like a snapshot.
but after looking at it for awhile it seems to be better compoed.
if the lights where the subject than they should be more evedint as such but
the black and white really helps the overall image. |
