		| | interesting curvature of finger matches the design on the ring. But I don't see it moving and demanding. It look more of a gesture of something else. |

		| | I like the concept - but my vision of this was the hand extended out toward a young child (out of focus). |

		| | lighting and colors are fine, as is the focus. i think it would be a bit more demanding with a different ring on the finger. |

		| | Connection with challenge theme: strong, obvious, concrete.
Technical: No glaring deficits. The focus, detail, tonal range, and color are adequate.

Artistic: Here's where I would deduct some points. Overall I think you chose a strong subject for this entry, as the beckoning finger has obvious implied authority. I feel though that the white backdrop and tight crop of the hand does not have enough visual impact. Perhaps if you told more of the story, by including a face, or a second subject who is on the receiving end of the finger, this entry would draw more interest.

Overall a good photograph on technical merits.

		| | Great long, elegant lines in this hand. The curve on the ring really complements that. I don't like the color of the background. I am unsure what color would be better, but white diminishes rather than showcases your subject. Great concept, creative and interesting. |

		| | I must sya that is an usual looking hand there. When I cover up the fingers it resembles a pale liver. The ring is interestin, but I do not see what it adds. And when that is the case it is only detracting. I might say the same about your chosen frame. Be well and be sure to get nie and full at Thanksgiving. (5) |
