This was in the same house that I took “Preserved” in the Shelves challenge. This abandoned house was just a wonderful treasure trove of interesting junk for a photographer!

The house is in a neighborhood not far from mine. The property has been for sale for quite sometime. I have passed by it many times on walks and used the outside of the house in the "Monsters and Monstrosities" challenge:

I was thinking of using another angle on the outside of the house for this challenge but noticed this time that the door was cracked open. In spite of the no trespassing sign I decided to go inside and explore. As I exited the house there was a man standing there looking at me. Scared the you know what out of me! Turns out he was a neighbor. We had a nice talk and I got some interesting history on the old house, the owners and the present status of the sale of the home and property. I will have to go back again one day before it is torn down!

Always makes you wonder what happened for this to come to this decrepit state, where is the owner? Surely this land belongs to someone, why isn’t it on the market, why isn’t someone going to do an amazing fixer upper on it? Questions questions my life is full of questions!!

I like your photo but would like it even better if the right side distortion was corrected. I also seems a little dark but that may be intentional.
