my theme .. taking photos and doing stuff to them .. more or less .. and maybe experimenting a bit ..

for the March side challenge

went for a walk with katee ...
i had entered a challenge .. and it suddenly struck me that the camera i had used .. my daughter's .. i hadnt checked the date settings .. so i thought i would see if i could get some pics of the horses .. instead of what i had originally planned .. when i got home i checked the date and it was ok ..
i remembered setting the camera up for my daughter and making the date correct .. but she hadnt used it for a couple of years ... so i was unsure if it would be ok ..
i didnt use the horses .. ;)

fyi .. a different crop and the original unedited ..

I like this capture and I think your processing brings out the right things about it. I like the angle of the horse's face, where we can almost but not quite see both his eyes (it's hard to see both eyes on most prey animals, they're on the sides of the head instead of the front). I also like the strange affection between flesh and wood.

This crop is certainly superior. And this is beautiful. It's a simple and affecting high key image, showing a moment of pleasure for this lovely horse. The background is perfect. A tour de horse. I mean force.

Like a sketch, rejoicing in the imperfections. Love the blown out sky.

You can't see his eyes but you get the feeling from the touching of the post. Very nice and calm image

This is sweet. The horse is beautiful. I am jealous you have such a lovely subject within walking distance.

Well done. Lovely horse and details here. Somewhat jealous about the summerly look of the colored one :)

I love the softness of the original (just me). The cropped monotone works but the different crop offers more information which better clarifies what the horse is doing.

Great pov here, I also like the blown out background and the detail of his coat. A head that's irresistible not to pat.
