A stucco covered block wall outside the Vista del Las Cruces school where I've been helping out this year.

March 2019 Side Challenge - Minimal Processing in Camera B&W with Fujifilm X100T (23mm [35mm eq.] fixed lens)

In-camera base settings:
- Auto ISO 200-6400 (Min. shutter - 1/40)
- Auto Aperture and Shutter
- Film Simulation B&W with Red Filter
- Highlight tone +2
- Shadow tone +2
- Noise Reduction - 2

This is the starting set, but I'll override it occasionally with exposure compensation or manual shutter/aperture as needed for effect.

This is my favorite of the three. It combines the delicacy of the vines in the center shot with the fascinating contrast of the swirling pattern below. I think that you've divided the two parts perfectly, and the curb is a terrific natural separator. If you can see the beauty here you can enjoy your day.

Here you have included a nice counter to the vine on the wall. My favorite of the three. I'm tempted to break out my Fuji and try these settings.

oh .. how interesting ..
this gives more an idea of size etc ..
i like how the direction of the patterns in the road .. which are taking me in one direction .. seem to be at odds with the direction of the vine/branches ..
i'm imagining being in a vehicle .. taking that corner .. fast .. around to the left .. spitting up bits of dirt and gravel .. and the vines .. whipping past .. come and gone in the blink of an eye ..

I like this one a little better. The contrast between the simplicity of the ground and the business of the wall is striking.

I like 3 best, the combination of varying surfaces and opposing lines makes this an interesting capture.
