 It was 7 degrees (F) and they had to skim away the ice.

Thanks for the bling, Art. Indeed I forgot to shoot for this. I took several shots at the Polar Plunge. When I went looking for the shoehorn, I thought I might find one of someone extending a hand to help someone step out of the water onto the icy shore. But, no. This was the best I could find. I thought some might appreciate a non-traditional take. Now, I am just hoping it ends above 5. It's going to be close.

I was one of your 8's, as I just really like the image. I thought it might get dinged for not being a "handshake" so to speak.

I really like this photo! I have a friend that does the polar plunge every year in one of the Great Lakes, and the event fascinates me how anyone could voluntarily do that! I feel cold and shaky just looking at this! Course... I’m a Texan and make fires and wear a coat if it drops below 70!
