Get off your rear end and take pictures.

This one just sort of happened.

There were some beautiful clouds behind the palm trees this morning. I bracketed them and processed them. Nice, but nothing to write home about. I dug around in my Textures file and came up with this from back in 2007. I put it over the palm trees in multiply mode and was astounded to see that it looked like stars. The moon is a shot from the recent eclipse applied in lighten mode. The whole thing is weird but I like the result.

Beautiful, serendipitous fantasy.

Many layers to this. The scratches flatten it out, while the palm trees, moon and clouds give it depth. The feeling of an image being projected onto another image. Interesting eye full!

interesting effect. I would also try in monochrome.

This is so very neat. I like the multiple layers to give it more of a thematic feel.

It is weird but it works.. has a kind of dreamlike feel to it. The palm trees tend to ground the viewer, otherwise you're floating away into dreamland.

i love that this just happened Germaine ..
thats how i do a lot of my stuff .. i start with a photo .. go looking in my textures etc folder .. and wander thru .. usually something pops out as a great fit with the original photo .. so i drag it in .. and play around .. different blending modes .. masking .. etc etc .. and i often dont have an idea of how i want it to end up .. its like a little journey to an unknown destination ..
your journey created such a eyecandy image .. its so visually pleasing .. and the 'stars' .. who knew . lol ..
the colours are wonderful as well .. this just pops .. !! .. :)
